About RoHS

The RoHS (Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances) is a directive for various types of electrical and electronic equipment. RoHS bans manufacturers from placing new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants on the European Union (EU) market.
